Well, as you can probably guess (seeing as how we're now in October and I'm only just getting around to posting a video from July...), it finally happened. I finally got burned out on editing SkateChat videos and stopped doing it, for a while.
In the past few months, so many different things have been going on in my life that it was too much to keep up on stuff that just wasn't that important. Fortunately, I did film several more SkateChats, so there are still some "lost" episodes to come, but it's going be an uphill battle to decide if I ever bother editing them.
In the meantime, enjoy this "lost" episode, which, wasn't actually lost... it's just been sitting on my hard drive, collecting digital dust. We shot this back in July, during the "Bill Stoppard Challenge" to skate every day. That lasted about a week and half for us, if I recall correctly. And, really, we left some huge gaps due to the rain and crappy weather we were plagued with. August was pretty chilly and miserable, as well. There just wasn't a lot of motivation to go out and suffer the elements. I mean, we're still skating; the weather couldn't be more suitable, with temperatures spiking into the low 80s. In fact, Andrea and I went out for an hour or so, yesterday, so we're definitely still skating well into October. I just don't really have the motivation to carry a camera and come up with ways to keep people entertained during my workouts.
You can watch Sesh 013 on the SkateChat page.
Well, I decided to redo the site and try to make it a little prettier. I hope I succeeded...
This design is actually a throw-back to 2006. I originally created this layout, and these graphics, for my poetry/art site, "Starving Hysteria."
While trying to think of a new layout/look for SkateParty, I saw this old layout and couldn't just let it rest in dust. So, say hello to Spaceman Spliff in the background, there. He's visiting our planet once more after being gone for more than 10 years.
